Bastyr University 11th Annual Herb & Food Fair

A fun and health-filled day at Bastyr University, Kenmore, Washington.  Carol Werelius will be there with our Xocai Healthy Chocolate.  This is the 11th annual  'Herb & Food Fair' which runs from 10am-5pm.  This is a student-run event that emphasizes numerous connections that herbs, nutrition, and other natural modalities have with supporting the health and wellness of our community.  Throughout the day, participants are introduced to local and renowned professionals including herbalists, culinary artists, nutritionists, educators, entertainers, and more. 

This year's keynote speakers will be Richo Cech, owner of Horizon Herbs and author of 'Making Plant Medicine, Growing at Risk Herbs', and 'The Medicinal  Herb Grower:  A Guide for Growing Plants that Heal' and Karen Jurgensen an Instructor at Seattle Central Culinary School and Quillisascut Farm School and co-author of 'Chefs on the Farm'.  The focus this year is on Sustainable Nutrition and Healing.
