Another Week Down

Geez, where does the time go? We're finishing our 3rd week of the wellness/weightloss challenge and hopefully every team member is seeing more success. Heather received a 10-ct box of Powerhouse Cookies for her winning achievement last week. Interval heart-rate training is THE way to go for increased weightloss due to increasing metabolism. Focus, focus - yes WE can!

Day 10 Weightloss Challenge

Great day today. Did about 45 minutes of Jazzercise cardio then hiked the Hieroglyph Trail (even though they're petroglyphs!). That's about 2 miles in all uphill; fabulous view; water was really running and the wildflowers are starting to be spectacular. Deb and I headed to Peoria for a Dodgers/Padres baseball game. Not sure about the hour and a half drive each way but it was fun. We had some interesting appetizers for dinner at an Irish Pub. I'll eat horseradish with anything--small blintz-like pancakes with corned beef and horseradish--yum! Despite all the exercise today I'll need to watch the food intake tomorrow!

Day 9 Weightloss/Wellness Challenge

I managed about an hour of Jazzercise today, combining the workout with learning new routines. Eating went well. Easy to be good when the cupboards and refer are pretty empty. I'm stuck with protein shakes, eggs, sprouted bread, apples and XOCAI!!!! Met friends for dinner in Scottsdale with our friend Deb, who flew in from San Diego. Easy to eat a wonderful salad with roasted chicken. No need to ask what I had for dessert - 2 Power Squares! I splurged!

Weightloss on St. Patrick's Day

I had quite a few team members check in today and they are doing very well. The leprechauns have decided to add an extra bonus for all those who want free goodies and are checking in weekly. Starting next Wednesday, March 24th, the individual with the highest percentage weight loss after our first 2 weeks will win a free 1/4 box of Xocai or 1/2 case of Xe. Sweet deal. I did a lot of walking and ab work on the resistance ball. Off to a good start in AZ.

Day 7 Weightloss/Wellness Challenge

Well, this is why I have a hard time getting down to my fightin' weight - no time! I needed to put in more than 10 minutes on a power plate yesterday AND I needed to write on Sunday and walk and it just didn't happen. I keep asking, "How I can be so busy and have so much to do"? Wasn't that what the computer was supposed to do? Keep us from being so busy? I don't think that's happening! Sunday was work, work, work and same with yesterday. I was out delivering chocolate sample bags for a luncheon this Thursday at 9pm last night! Heading to the YWCA luncheon today and then Arizona. Now that will be a few days of not too much to do. Aaaaaaaahhhhh!

Chocolate WEIGHTLOSS/WELLNESS CHALLENGE

We're into Day 5 of the challenge and only 80 days to go! The other 14 team members are doing well. I only check in directly with each team pairing once a week but the emails are sounding encouraging. Mike and I did go out to dinner last night at Barrio's and it's difficult not to enjoy a Sexy Sadie margarita and their wonderful food. We all ordered appetizers but I'm sure the calorie count would not have been encouraging. The order for today is back to eating the right foods for me and getting in some rebounding and pilates mat work.

XOCAI WEIGHTLOSS/WELLNESS CHALLENGE

Whoa! I thought we'd have trouble getting one team of 5 together but we have 3 teams eating healthy chocolate, losing weight and improving their health. Our teams: Xo-ing for Gold, Cheering for Chubless Chocolate and Gettin' Down with Xocai. We're posted at www.mxicorp.com/weightloss. There's only 15 teams registered and 3 are from the Pacific NW (well minus Pearlis who lives in North Carolina!). I don't know if that means we have more overweight Xocai eaters or if we're more dedicated to being healthy - I think it's the latter!
